On April 17th we finally moved into our new and final apartment, it’s such a relief we don’t have to pack anymore! Apparently all our stuff doesn’t fit in our luggage anymore, so we had to carry extra plastic bags to move our stuff.
Last time we moved, was from the hotel in Ikebukoro to Toranomon subwaystation. The journey wasn’t long but it was hell because our luggage was so heavy!! So this time we decided to take a cab instead. Public transportation + luggage sux!
Happy times! The cab ride cost us about 800 yen, which was soooo worth it!
First time we entered the apartment we were so relieved! It was bigger than we expected it to be (bigger than our apartment in Toranomon). We also have a nice big closet and balcony! Of course it’s not a penthouse, but it’s big for our Japanese standards! Take a look:
Hallway/kitchen
The bedroom/living room and closet.
View from our frontdoor.
So YAY for:
- bigger apartment
- 7th floor = nicer view
- right next to Yasukuni Shrine
- 10 min walk to school/5 min by bike
NAY:
- no electric toilet
- longer walk to nearest subway stations
- older building
But we’re very happy with this apartment and like the bigger size a lot!
[addition] Thanks (again) Niels Bierman for reviewing our Japanese Rental Contract! Couldn’t have done it without you :P [/addition]

What just happened? where did my message just go? Must have pressed the wrong button. Anyway, Congratulations!
cool apartment… Enjoy!
A fine apato indeed.
But where’s the credit for the wonderful person without whom none of this would have been possible??
I demand goddamn kudos!
@Kathryn, haha I don’t know what happened to your message, but thanks!
