Birthday diner

Last week was my birthday, unfortunately it was raining. But we did go for a nice meal. I got to pick a restaurant because it was my birthday. I was craving for some nice meat and remembered a restaurant where we have been before with Mathieu.

The restaurant is situated in Shinbashi and right next to the JR station. The cool thing about this restaurant is that you can prepare your own meat. It’s a bit expensive (for our tight budget and the current crappy exchange rate) about 1200yen per plate.

So it’s served raw on a hot plate with bean sprouts and some butter. Abunai!

It’s advisable to hold up the paper to protect your clothing from the grease because it can get pretty wild.

Yeap hold ‘m up birthday boy…. err I mean old geezer… :(

And this is what it looks like when it’s done (and half of it has already been eaten after realizing I had to make a picture). Although I must admit it does not look very nice in the picture, it was goooood

    Hey Mat thanks!

Yeah there are more places doing similar things. I don’t know if this one is part of a chain store.

Japanese Meat tends to have more fat, I guess that’s the way they like it ;)
