Nay: Expensive fruit

A big down side of being in Japan is that fruit is so bloody expensive. We came across this little shop in Shinjuku and they are selling a single durian for 6000yen! (go to to do the conversion).

Although I don’t really like durian it’s still damn expensive. Here is the full picture.

    Nope not enormous, fruit and vegetables are really expensive. A very small watermelon costs 1800yen….

    The cheapest fruit seems to be bananas, so we’re eating a lot of them :P
